THE QUALIFICATIONS:
The Tabor Forklift Operator will be safety conscious team member, taking pride in their work in a fast paced environment.
- Valid BC Driver’s License,
- Possession of a valid Forklift Certificate,
- Strong communication skills,
- Must be dependable, efficient, professional and have a positive attitude,
- Safety Oriented,
- Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process,
- Previous forklift experience operating articulated, +15000lb forklifts is an asset.
THE DUTIES:
- Safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload lumber and building materials
- Organizing and stacking materials in designated areas of the yard or warehouse
- Assisting with inventory management and order preparation
- Working closely with yard staff, truck drivers, and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly
- Following all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area

THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidates will be hardworking individuals with proactive attitudes who are able to work various shifts.
- They are willing to always learn and embrace new concepts.
- They will have the ability to work well with others at all levels and should be a motivated, self-starter.
- Prior sawmill or planermill experience is preferred.
THE DUTIES:
The ideal candidates are responsible to perform the physical duties involved with cleanup and/or production duties in both sawmill and planer environments including, but not limited to:
- Sweeping and shoveling, walking on even and uneven surfaces, pushing a wheelbarrow and using a power saw.
- The candidate must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit attention to detail, a safety-conscious attitude, and impeccable attendance.
Wages are $36.86 an hour as per the collective agreement and include a competitive benefits package.
